Q. The capillaries come into sharp focus so quickly―does the capillary scope use autofocus?

No, the GOKO Bscan-ZA uses manual focus. Because capillaries lie at varying depths beneath the skin, autofocus can struggle to focus correctly and may instead lock onto surface debris or hairs. The GOKO Bscan-ZA is designed to quickly and precisely focus on capillaries just beneath the skin, delivering crystal-clear images. Its depth of field has been improved by 10% compared to previous models, allowing clearer visualization of vessels at different depths.

Q. What are the main functions of the capillary scope?

The GOKO Bscan-ZA connects directly to a PC and allows users to capture and save high-magnification images and videos of capillaries throughout the body using the standard "GOKO Measure" software.

Optional software includes:

  • GOKO-VIP: Quantifies blood flow velocity―ideal for dynamic flow analysis
  • GOKO Measure Plus: Offers advanced image processing, suitable for vascular reconstruction and microsurgery research
Q. Can the GOKO Bscan-ZA be used to observe blood flow in the oral cavity?

Yes. The GOKO Bscan-ZA includes an autoclave-compatible Non-reflex cap. By applying a clear gel or toothpaste, you can observe blood flow in the gums, periodontal tissue, and oral mucosa. The device is used in research exploring the relationship between blood flow and periodontal disease, as well as in studies on oral care effectiveness.

Q. Can it be used in microsurgical research, such as vascular anastomosis?

Yes. The GOKO Bscan Series is used in the research of microsurgery, particularly for assessing vascular anastomosis. It provides precise visualization of blood flow, making it highly effective for such applications.

Q. Is it suitable for burn depth assessment research?

Yes. The GOKO Bscan-ZA is also valuable in burn depth evaluation and wound healing studies, helping visualize microcirculatory changes over time.

Q. Can blood flow measurement help evaluate gum health?

Yes. Since the GOKO Bscan-ZA visualizes the relationship between blood flow and gum condition, it is used in research evaluating the progression of periodontal disease and the effects of oral care products like toothpaste.

Q. What types of facilities use the GOKO Bscan Series?
  • Medical field: Plastic surgery, vascular reconstruction, microsurgery, dentistry, emergency medicine, rehabilitation
  • Health & beauty field: Cosmetic manufacturers, aesthetic salons, hair growth product manufacturers, acupuncture clinics, fitness centers, dental clinics

The GOKO Bscan Series is trusted in a wide variety of institutions worldwide―for everything from blood flow analysis to oral care and cosmetic evaluation.

Q. Can it be used to observe skin pigmentation or melanin?

Yes. When used with the Non-reflex cap and a transparent gel, the GOKO Bscan-ZA delivers exceptionally clear visualization of pigmented skin areas.
